A glowing and smiling Paris part skipped, part strutted down a makeshift catwalk – created by the hundreds of paparazzi and fans lined up behind the oh so stylish yellow police tape – right on midnight Tuesday 26th after spending a total of 22 days behind bars (by her well groomed appearance it seems that sister Nicky was able to sneak some Clarins Beauty Flash and MAC Lipglass in Big Baby to Paris when she visited her 45 minutes prior to her being released).
The media reports are all about how she’s a changed woman, the first comment since being released to People magazine being “I’m a good person. I’m a compassionate person. I have a big heart. I’m sincere, and they’ll see.” But if anything it seems that the correctional service staff uniforms have inspired her fashion sense – check the khaki toned short sleeved jacket and dark jeans outfit she is donning as compared to the Los Angeles Deputies uniforms who lined the pathway to secure her exit. Uncanny similarity huh!
All Paris needs now is a two-way and some black combat boots…or perhaps the Sheriff can take a note from her style book and start wearing white pumps to work?
The fashion industry has already picked up the look and run with it, fashion site Glimpse.com has a ‘how to’ page active for all those people who want to, ah, look like they’ve just been released.

Fittingly Ms Crawford has been allocated with one of the hottest bodies in town for her stay, belonging to Miro, the 'front of house guru' with the deep Russian accent, who is known by all the fashion girls (the good looking and charming lad can be found at the start of the red carpet for the hottest fashion and VIP events and as such is on first name terms with Australia's A-list).
Putting Miro on was a smart move for Cindy's management, after all if you were her you would certainly feel safe with six-foot four Miro hovering in the background, ready for any kind of action. Plus he would unquestionably know all the best spots in town to go to if you felt like popping out for a bit of shopping or a quick cocktail, and is not in any way bad viewing.
P.S. For some extra entertainment What’s What are loving the "Miro House" video set to the tunes of Justin Timberlakes "Bringing Sexy Back" on the Miro House site http://www.mirohouse.com.au/page.php?id=7 - watch out Justin!
It's always pleasing to hear of Australian's succeeding on an international level, particularly in the relentlessly ruthless and competitive world of modelling.
So here's a belated happy birthday and congratulations to Australian model Catherine McNeil (she turned eighteen on May 30th) who appears on the cover of this month’s French Vogue.
The French Vogue story pictures Catherine in statement, bright clothes ‘Copacabana’ style as a 'Vogue TV reporter', surrounded by her very good looking ‘tv crew’ and was shot by Mario Testino, one of the world’s best fashion photographers. They’ve even given her bunny ears for her cover image…what more could a girl want?
The quite fairy-tale sounding (but true) story goes that Mario loves Catherine’s look so much that when he first met her he got straight on the phone to two of his top advertising clients, Hugo Boss and Dolce & Gabbana, saying that they must meet with her. Both agreed and soon after commissioned her to appear in their recent ad campaigns.
Originally from Logan in Queensland, Catherine was first discovered in the 2003 Girlfriend model search competition but very sensibly didn’t really dive into the world of modelling till after she had finished school in 2006. Since then she has done catwalk work for more than thirty international shows including Yves Saint Laurent, Chanel, Dior, Valentino, Stella McCartney and Fendi; appeared in global fashion ad campaigns and magazine stories; and now lives in one of the epi-centres of fashion, New York.
