Mischa Barton is without doubt one of the best-dressed starlets on the planet. Whatever she puts on just seems to work perfectly. Therefore, it only makes sense that we take inspiration from Mischa's style, so it's exciting news that French Connection in Australia have made available a beautiful dress that Miss Barton was recently seen wearing in Los Angeles.
The dress named "Esther Beads Kaftan" is a lovely creamy white, light weight silk tunic dress with equisite beading and sequin detail around neckline and cuffs. No doubt putting this on will have you feeling like a Hollywood girl (and all for just $199.95).
Another no brainer is how quickly it will disappear from the shelves, so if this little number appeals we suggest you get to a French Connection store super fast.
It is expected that over 600 women will head down to Bondi Beach on the morning of Wednesday 26th September, 2007, to help break the Guinness World Record for the largest ever swimsuit photo shoot.
Hosted by Cosmopolitan editor, Sarah Wilson, participants will be given a swimsuit, breakfast and a goodie bag valued at $100, and will also appear in the January 2008 issue of Cosmopolitan magazine.
The beach will be lined with Venus Breeze shaving tents, beauty booths, tents filled with refreshments and tents for sun protection.
There will be a DJ creating the summer vibe via sounds, an aerial photographer and a Channel Nine helicopter circling the skies to capture highlights from the day. A video stream of the making of the shoot will also be put up on the Cosmopolitan website. Most certainly non-stop action.
If this sounds like the kind of record breaking event you'd like to be involved in, head to the Cosmopolitan event registration page now for more details on how you can join in.

The weekend saw some of the biggest names in Australian fashion (and more) descend on Westfield Chermside to help launch the new David Jones store.
The most glowing presence at the launch was that of David Jones ambassador and international model Megan Gale, who, dressed in summery white, was given the role of official ribbon cutter, which she did alongside David Jones CEO, Mark McInnnes, and Brisbane's Lord Mayor, Campbell Newman.
Other appearances on the day included the dynamic designer duo Zimmermann sisters, make-up artist Napoleon Perdis, who made himself available for top of the line makeovers, chef and writer extraordinaire Donna Hay, who was signing copies of her latest cookbook and also Bob the Builder who entertained the kids. There was certainly something for everyone!

Sydney is about to experience two of the biggest fashion evenings in Australia for 2007, with the national launch of the David Jones Summer Collection being held tonight and Myer unveiling their Spring Summer Collection the following night, on Wednesday 8th August.
Both retailers will be calling on their equally gorgeous ambassadors – DJ’s Megan Gale and Myer’s Jennifer Hawkins – to front parades which will showcase the clothing we will find in their stores in the warmer months ahead.
The David Jones Summer campaign is themed ‘Summer d’Azur’ and was shot in the French Riviera. The national ‘AAA-List’ launch tonight is being held at the Royal Hall of Industries, Fox Studios, Moore Park, where the ‘Summer d’Azur’ theme is to be re-created by Creative Director Mike Mizrahi, showcasing Australian designers including Anna Thomas, Ginger&Smart, Colette Dinnigan and Lisa Ho.
There is said to be a total of 600 guests expected at DJ’s event, who will be indulging in all the best France has to offer – Moët & Chandon champagne, truffles, foie gras and crème brulée.
Myer’s event is being held at Redfern’s CarriageWorks with a ‘fusion of theatre and art’ the inspiration behind the show. Josh Goot’s designs will open the show, while new recruit Jayson Brunsdon will close with labels such as Nicola Finetti and Toni Maticevski also featuring.
As for numbers, Myer are expecting 550 guests, and are planning on creating the longest front row in Australian history - a 34-metre catwalk with enough room for 125 people to line up alongside.
What's What will keep you in the loop, with both celebrity and catwalk images from each evening to be published in Famous Fashion later in the week.
Jeans for Genes is held on the first Friday of August each year to help raise funds for scientists who are working to try and prevent genetic diseases such as leukaemia, muscular dystrophy and genetic defects (which at the moment effect one in twenty children).
The dedicated scientists at the Children's Medical Research Institute are tirelessly working to prevent these diseases before they occur in our children and tomorrow we have the chance to help.
This major fundraising concept began in 1994 with over $38 million raised for CMRI. Last year $4.01 million was raised, the challenge is to exceed this figure in 2007.
So how to participate? Firstly, make the choice to wear your favourite jeans in place of what you would ordinarily wear tomorrow. Secondly, you need to make a donation of a gold coin (or more if you like) for the privilege of doing so.
The following Westfield Centres will have donation collection areas set up, simply ask Concierge to direct you to the right location:
NSW
Bondi Junction
Centrepoint
Chatswood
Eastgardens
Parramatta
Penrith
Miranda
North Rocks
QLD
Garden City
ACT
Woden
Alternatively you can find out where you can make a contribution on-line at the Jeans for Genes site.
Not into jeans right now? Not to worry you can purchase a badge or other Jeans for Genes merchandise to show your support.
We recently reported on Forbes.com announcing the top paid models globally for 06/07, of which Brazilian beauty Gisele Bündchen blew every other genetically blessed woman out of the water.
It's now been revealed that Novo Shoes are bringing 27-year old Gisele to Australia in early October to promote the new Gisele Bündchen Ipanema Collection of footwear.
Gisele helped launch the Ipanema Collection in 2001 with two main goals. One being to create cool and comfortable footwear, the other to raise funds towards the Y Ikatu Xingu Campaign (translated meaning "Pure Xingu Water") which aims to preserve the headwaters of the Xingu Rivers in her homeland of the Brazilian Amazon, which are sadly under threat from deforestation.
Both of these aims have been achieved, with over 100 million pairs of the thong style shoes being sold since the brand’s launch and considerable monies raised to help save the Xingu River system and the livelihoods of those who live alongside it.
The Ipanema Collection, which includes four styles very much inspired by traditional Brazilian artworks, will be available in Novo stores nationally from September.
