Australian fashion designer Kate Hurst has moved from crafting one-off garments at her local markets just five years ago to now dressing international names, such as actors Emma Lung and Emily Barclay and writer Alice Bell.

28-year old Kate’s style is described as a combination of classic, quirky and thoroughly feminine, with an insatiable appetite for pop culture and the arts which stems from her Fine Arts background. Since launching her range, Kate has sent her creations down the catwalk at Australian Fashion Week and established a place in some of America and Japan’s most prestigious boutiques.

This month Sportsgirl have teamed with Kate to create a one-off capsule collection titled ‘Settle Petal’, inspired by the floral shape of the tulip. The 10 piece collection, is street savvy and will no doubt appeal to those with an eye for quirky details and femininity.
